I started working with Augusta Aiken ENT in the summer of 2020, after I graduated highschool. I began at a triage table where I would take tempuratures, ask screening questions, and make sure the patients were wearing their masks. Then in 2021, I transfered to the allergy department, where I was taught how to mix allergy vials, administer allergy shots, and perform allergy testing. Then, due to me needing more hours and the department needing more staff, I moved to help in the HIA department in the later half of 2022. Here I was taught how to start notes and document why our patients are being seen. In 2023, I was also shown how to be PEA for Dr. Pintavorn where I accompany Dr. Pintavorn into the exam room and document the patient's symptoms, exam, and orders. I am currently bouncing around between allergy technician, HIA, and PEA as needed.
