Founded in 2013 by Jen McQuillan with the support of husband Lance. Jen initially registered as a childminder, before moving into the bright, spacious halls the nursery occupies today. Ideally situated in the heart of Southfields, just stone’s throw from Coronation Gardens and Wimbledon Park, the nursery has a large private garden and is close to local amenities and transport links. SPEL acquired the nursery in 2017 when Jen and Lance moved back to South Africa to be closer to family.

Established in 2011 by husband-and-wife team, Steve McNicol and Fiona Macleod, Sheen Montessori has steadily grown to become the go-to Montessori nursery in the area. The nursery has unrivalled access to the outdoors, not only from its impressive garden but also from being situated on Palewell Common – a unique experience for a London nursery. SPEL acquired the nursery in 2024 when Fiona and Steve decided to retire from the sector to spend more time with their family.
