The need for roof tiles will continue to increase as the world's population increases, resulting in an increase in housing needs. Plastic has a long durability and characteristics that make it economical and flexible. However, these characteristics make plastic the most frequently found polluter in the world, and a frequently applied solution is to recycle plastic into usable items. This study aims to determine the manufacturing process of roof tiles using HDPE plastic and if the characteristics are equivalent to conventional roof tiles. The method used in this research is to make the HDPE roof tile and the product is then put through a series of tests to prove if the characteristics of HDPE roof tiles are equivalent to conventional roof tiles. The results showed that the manufacturing process of HDPE roof tiles requires a short period of time and emits low emissions. The characteristics of HDPE roof tiles are equivalent to conventional roof tiles but only in a short period of time.
