Instruction For External Visitors
The Miyawaki Forest at IIT Palakkad is a scientifically developed model ecosystem that supports biodiversity conservation, ecological research, and environmental education. We welcome visitors for academic, research, and outreach purposes,subject to prior permission.

The Miyawaki Forest is situated inside the IIT Palakkad campus.

Prior permission is mandatory for all visits.
Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance.
Entry is permitted only after official approval.
Upon arrival, visitors must report at the Main Gate / Security Office.
The forest is a protected research site- littering and any form of disturbance are strictly prohibited.

Wear closed footwear suitable for uneven terrain.
Full-sleeve clothing is recommended to minimize insect exposure.
Be cautious of insects and natural wildlife.
Do not pluck plants, disturb soil, or interfere with experimental setups.
Maintain silence and discipline within the forest area.
Always follow instructions provided by the research team or authorized guide.

Visitors are requested to download and fill out the Visitor Entry Request Form and send the completed form via email at least 2 weeks prior to the visit.
