I am Udiptya Saha, pursuing my PhD degree from the Department of Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. My research focus comprises on development of biosensing platforms for infectious disease detection through the interfacing of nucleic acid amplification techniques and optical sensing systems.

Selected as Prime Minister's Research Fellow in the year 2022.
Merit Scholarship award from Delhi Technological University for the Academic year 2020-21 topper students of the respective programmes.
“Commendable Research Award” from Delhi Technological University for excellence in research in the years 2020 and 2021.
Winner of MIT COVID 19 Challenge “India: Turning the Tide” hackathon in 2020 for proposing a plasmonic biosensing platform for viral detection of SARS-CoV-2 from sewage for epidemiological surveillance.
