Build, test and standardize quantum secure communication networks
QKD+PQC Testbed at IIT Madras (Alice), IITM Research Park (Bob) and SETS (Alice).
Also extends from SETS to NIC to form a STAR + RING topology
Background
Metro Areas Quantum Access Networks (MAQANs) are necessary to connect multiple parties in a metro area through secure networks. These metro networks can then be connected to other metro networks through long distance QKD links, in a project proposed as the Quantum Internet with Local Access, or QuILA.
Resources
National Qauntum Mission
Collaborators
CDAC Bengaluru, Trivandrum
SETS, Chennai
ERNET, Chennai
CRL-BEL
Impact
Indigenous development of devices, systems and protocols for quantum communication
Quantum Internet with Local Access (QuILA) is proposed under the National Quantum Mission.
Devices
EPIC (electronic + photonic integrated circuits) for QKD, QRNG, optical MACs
Femtosecond laser 3D photolithography
