This is the continent you live on, it is not only the United States.
For this activity we will be traveling to each continent, I would like you to take some notes about each as we travel continent to continent. This will be in our classroom, so please no running or roughhousing. I will have "continents" set up around the room that you will be traveling to in groups.
First, I want you to come to me to receive your traveling packets, you will travel in groups of five and follow the instructions in the packet for travel. You will then travel to each continent with your groups, at each "continent" there will be facts on the paper beside it, I would like each of you to write at least ONE down. Once you have all written down your fact you may move to the next "continent".
Next, once everyone has traveled to each of the continent's I want you to sit with your groups for five minutes and discuss which facts you thought were the most interesting about certain continents. I also want you to discuss which one you would rather visit compared to others.
We will then go back to our seats and discuss as a class what we thought of the travels. I want you to engage yourselves in this activity, I promise it will be more enjoyable that way. Once we have finished with this activity I want you to research more in depth about each continent and then write about your favorite one and explain why it is your favorite.
