Primary Coordinators
Sarah Zimmerman, OTD, OTR/L, has been working as a pediatric occupational therapist for 20+ years in inpatient clinics, outpatient clinics, and schools. She is a professor in the Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy at Saint Louis University teaching undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to teaching, Sarah works on the Autism Diagnostic Team at Saint Louis University’s Interdisciplinary Center for Autism Services, provides motor screenings and RTI services at local schools, and coordinates the Switched chapter at SLU. She is passionate about promoting access to play to individuals of all ages.

Jessica Barreca, PT, DPT has 20+ years of working with children in outpatient, early intervention, and school settings. Her academic experience includes work as a faculty member in the Department of PT at the University of Illinois - Chicago and at Saint Louis University as a program manager for Interprofessional Education and an adjunct faculty member in PT. Her research interests center on trauma-informed care, interprofessional teaming and collaboration, and policies that support children with disabilities and their families, as well as educating the next generation of health-care providers.
