Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab

Welcome to the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Saint Louis University directed by Dr. Alex Reiter. Our mission is to optimize treatment for musculoskeletal injuries. With a primary focus on tendon and ligament, we seek to understand healthy tissue function and structure, assess changes that occur in injury and disease, and provide guidelines for improved treatment strategies. We use a diverse set of techniques from wearable sensors in humans to biological, structural, and mechanical testing in preclinical animal models.
