MISSION: COVID-19

UNROOTING PROVIDER DISPARITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF RURAL HEALTHCARE

Objective

Mission

Over the course of COVID-19 and its disastrous implications on physical health and its associated social outcomes, we have been protected by the conviction and tireless efforts of our frontline workers. We commend and salute these brave actions and seek to investigate and formulate the clinical transition of COVID-19.

In order to bring awareness to this shift in clinical medicine and map the dynamic of the clinician-patient relationship, we have documented the daily interactions of clinicians and healthcare administrators. This was supplemented by research of patient anticipation regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. These factors frequently can complicate the dynamic of the clinician-patient relationship, and sensitivity to these factors harness the capability of enhancing the clinical experiences and its associated social dynamics and clinical outcomes.

Furthermore, we believe it is vital to equip the next-generation of clinicians with an invaluable insight into an invigorated, patient-centered, health-focused approach during health crises. This effective change then has the extraordinary capabilities to metamorphosize into a social arena of cultural consciousness, recognition, and alertness for the medical profession in its entirety.
