our mission

The purpose of KSLU, as the university’s only radio station, is to provide Saint Louis University and the St. Louis community with a student-run, tangible media outlet; this encompasses new music, talk radio, listener community events, and any other music-related needs. Our broadcast studio enables the SLU community to develop their communication and curation skills through a variety of audio and visual mediums.

Additionally, KSLU offers Mobile DJ services, providing live DJ mixing and equipment rentals for events throughout campus and the St. Louis community. In conjunction with members of the SLU community, KSLU members produce content for the free-form, online music publication, Already Bored. KSLU places a strong emphasis on the importance of providing students with opportunities to experience live music, both on and off campus through ticket giveaways, open mic nights, and in-studio concerts. Our vision is to build a cohesive media community linked through a common passion for music.

We will be hosting monthly open mic nights so y'all can come show off your mad skills and play some tunes! Feel free to sing, play an instrument, read some poetry, etc. Below is our schedule for the Fall 18 semester!

Come join us for Rock the Clock every Friday from 11am-2pm for some cool tunes and chaotic dance moves.
