The task for this project was to visit the Saint Louis Art Museum, select a piece of art that was inspiring, research it, then creating a dish that reflected the feelings the art evoked. The goal was to tell a story with food through the inspiration of art and to provide an opportunity for creating a dish from start to finish, the fist time doing so individually in the culinary program. The inspiration could come from the visuals of the art selected, the meaning of the art, or from the research done on the art. Any dish could then be created as long as it had three different components to it.
