Hong Kong served as a Western outpost on the fringe of Communist China during the Cold War. This project constitutes an in-depth analysis of both British and American efforts to sway hearts and minds throughout the Far East. Both the United States Information Service and British Regional Information Office operated out of Hong Kong during the early Cold War. This project draws on primary source research conducted at the Public Records Office in the United Kingdom and the National Archives of the United States in College Park, Maryland.
