Shalun International High School, formerly known as Shalun Junior High School, is located in Wudong Village, Guiren District, Tainan City, Taiwan, spans approximately 5.18 hectares. It was established to address the educational needs arising from the development and population influx near Tainan High-Speed Rail Station following the inauguration of Taiwan High-Speed Rail.
On June 28, 2002, under the guidance of Tainan County Government, Mr. Chen Ren-zheng took on the responsibility to plan the establishment of the school. After navigating through a series of intricate tasks, the school was officially founded, enrolling its first batch of students in August 2005.
On August 1, 2019, Mr. Chen Bo-tsang assumed the role of principal. Under the impetus of the national development plan for Shalun Smart Green Energy Science City, he initiated the school's transformation into a "K-12 school." The process of upgrading and restructuring is intricate, but by integrating the existing local cultural foundation, consolidating educational resources around the Science City, and implementing bilingual instruction, Shalun Junior High School aims to gradually align with international standards. The school's future is promising, and Mr. Chen Bo-tsang, along with the entire staff, is dedicated to guiding it towards new horizons.
