Though our SLP YouTube has restrictions enabled in varying degrees at the secondary level, teachers have the option to 'Approve' videos they wish to use for learning.
To 'approve' a video or channel, look for 'approve for SLP schools' option directly under the video in YouTube; some videos may already have been enabled and will already show as 'approved'.
Want to show a YouTube video minus the ads and suggested videos? A quick and easy way to to create a Slides document, then use the Insert > Video option in the upper menu and paste the URL of the video. This will remove ads and show only the video player.

Though SLP secondary schools utilize Schoology as its main Learning Management System, some educators choose to also companion Classroom for instruction. Though all teachers need to have a Schoology presence to assist families with familiar navigation, a link out to Classroom for your students is acceptable and a fine practice.

YouTube videos that have been created with subtitles have the option to be converted to a variety of different languages.
To enable captions (if available) and change the language:
Tap the captions icon below the video to enable captions for the video
Tap the gear icon next to the captions icon
Click on the cc icon/subtitles option in the menu
Click on auto-translate to change to a different language
GOOGLE TRANSLATE
Use the Google Translate tool directly to view text in multiple languages. Can copy and paste from documents and go directly to websites in translated languages.

Instructors and/or students create content on a Google Doc and can translate into many different languages using the Google Translate service.

Subtitle Generator helps WeVideo Classroom (Education accounts) users create content with speech to text subtitles automatically. This feature gives you the ability to create videos where dialogue can be both viewed and listened to.

Nearly any webpage can be translated into a language via the Google Translate embedded features.
Will also work on Google Docs or Slides IF you use the Publish to the Web feature of those tools to convert a working document to a ‘published’ page.
HOW TO Right-click on highlighted text or in an empty space on a web page. Choose Translate to <language> from the drop-down menu. The language can be changed via the three dots in the small window that pops up once activated.
*To activate the Publish to the Web feature, open a Drive doc/slide/sheet, then choose File > Share > Publish to the Web.
