Welcome to the 6th grade science site for Slinger Middle School.  We created this site for students and parents to use as a resource.  

It is organized by units and contains the presentations used in our classrooms and completed notes for each unit.  


Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Evans has been teaching at Slinger Middle School since 2006.  She graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a degree in Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence Education and a minor in Health Education PreK-12.  She completed her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University in 2009.  Mrs. Evans lives in the Slinger School District with her husband.  Mrs. Evans, her husband and two boys are all graduates of Slinger High School.


Mrs. DeWalt has been teaching at Slinger Middle School since 2012.  She has also taught 4th grade and 7th grade in the Slinger School District in previous years.  She graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education 1-8 and a minor in coaching athletics.   She completed her master's degree in Education from Cardinal Stritch University in 2003.  She is currently working on her Reading Specialist degree from Concordia University.  Mrs. DeWalt and her husband enjoy travelling, camping, and gardening. Her and her husband have four adult children, (three sons and a daughter) whom are all graduates of Slinger High School.  The DeWalt's also have a yorkie poo-cockapoo dog named Burton.
