What does an occupational therapist in a school do?
Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial and sensory components of performance. In schools, occupational therapy practitioners focus on academics, play and leisure, social participation, self-care skills (ADLs or Activities of Daily Living), and transition/ work skills.
All About Me
I've been a pediatric occupational therapist for 18 years and I love what I do! My goal in each session is to see my students smile. Kids learn best through play and experiences. We move, play and have fun in OT!
I love spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. I love to be with my three daughters, husband, and our sweet dog, Nola.
