Word Study Routine

Every Monday, students will be introduced to a new prefix, root word or suffix. Students will receive a list of 8 focus words that included the new morpheme. Throughout the week in class, we will learn how to apply this new morpheme to any word. At home, students are responsible for practicing their word study words through the activities below. Students should complete activities that add up to 25 points, and hand them in by Friday. On Friday, we will have a word study quiz, where students will be spelling their focus words and using them in fill-in-the-blank sentences.
