Meet the coaches

Coach Monroe begins his 15th year as the head girls basketball coach and his 22nd season as a head basketball coach at San Luis Obispo High School. In fourteen seasons, he has led the lady tigers to an overall record of 199-160, which include eleven CIF playoff appearances and ten postseason victories. Previously, Coach Monroe led the lower level boys programs to a 121-40 record in 7 seasons. Monroe currently teaches Health and AVID at SLOHS. He is the varsity assistant of the girls flag football team and is the SLOHS management team vice chairperson. Coach Monroe enjoys spending time with his accomplished wife Sharon Day-Monroe and his two boys; Jayden (6 in December), and Jackson (4 year old this April).
