S3 Talk - Learning with AI

An engaging talk on "Learning with AI", conducted by Mr. Pau, was held at the School Hall for S3 students on 7 Nov, 2023. The session aimed to introduce students to how artificial intelligence can potentially aid the learning process. The talk began by highlighting capabilities of advanced language models, and how they can be used to find information, answer questions, and have meaningful discussions. Students learned about summarization tools that could help when studying and exams. They also explored how language learning and visual content generation may be assisted by AI.

In conclusion, the talk provided valuable insights into the role AI could play in enhancing learning experiences, academic performance, and expanding knowledge of the field. Students engaged in a thoughtful discussion about responsibly and effectively leveraging technology to support education.

Advanced AR with Reality Composer Workshop

The "Advanced AR with Reality Composer Workshop" was successfully held on 26 June, 6 July, and 27 July 2023. This workshop was tailored-made for the junior form students who had taken part in the "Introduction to AR with Reality Composer workshop" organized in the TL lessons. Building upon the foundational knowledge gained in the introductory workshop, this advanced course delved deeper into the intricacies of augmented reality (AR) and enhanced the students' skills in utilizing the Reality Composer application. Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in hands-on activities, honing their abilities to create immersive and interactive AR experiences.

Introduction to AR with Reality Composer workshop

The "Introduction to AR with Reality Composer Workshop" was successfully held on 24, 25 and 26 July 2023, as part of the S1 TL lessons. This workshop aimed to provide students with introductory concepts on Augmented Reality (AR) and coding. The workshop was made possible through the generous subsidy provided by the IT Innovation Lab funding. Participants were able to explore the applications and potential impact of AR technology across various industries. They gained hands-on experience using Reality Composer, a powerful tool for creating AR experiences, and engaged in coding exercises to develop their skills further. The workshop not only provided a solid foundation in AR concepts but also highlighted the importance of innovation and technological advancements in education.

S3 TL Showcase 2023

The TL Showcase, held on May 12, 2023, featured two main highlights:

Fashion Show: Four classes presented a total of 18 stunning pieces, showcasing the students' exceptional fashion sense and artistic flair. The fashion show was a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of our students, who put their heart and soul into each design.

STEM Project Showcase: Four selected groups presented inventive automation solutions to real-life problems. Students applied their S1 and S2 knowledge, including Arduino circuit design, programming, ergonomics, and model-making skills. These projects demonstrated the students' ability to think critically, solve practical challenges, and innovate using their technical knowledge.

S3 Graduation Show 2022

The S3 Graduation Show, held on 4 June, 2022,  aims to cultivate aesthetic sensitivity by encouraging the creative utilization of design elements. It provides an opportunity for students to apply their skills and employ various technologies in the design and production processes. The event also fosters the development of systematic and well-organized working habits among participants. Problem-solving skills are showcased through collaborative teamwork, allowing students to effectively address challenges and find innovative solutions. The culmination of the show involves presenting ideas through fashion illustration and showcasing the final garments in a captivating fashion show, highlighting the students' creativity and talent in the field of fashion design.

S2 STEM Showcase 2021

The Innovation Fair on 7 July, 2021 showcased the Arduino-based prototypes created by Secondary 2 students in the STEM and Technology and Living lessons. The event provided precious learning opportunities for students to choose a problem to solve, brainstorm multiple solutions, identify the constraints on solutions, select the most promising one and prototype the solution.
