Life and Society, Chinese History and Moral, Civic and National Education Team jointly organized the Inter-class Quiz Challenge on Hong Kong and China’s affairs on 28 April 2023 to promote national education and Basic Law education and strengthen students’ understanding on the political, socio-economic, historical and environmental aspects of Hong Kong and China.
Life and Society and Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS) jointly held a wealth management talk organized by T.W.G.Hs Healthy Budgeting Family Debt Counselling Centre (東華三院健康理財家庭輔導中心) for S3 students on 4 May 2023. Through interactive games, case sharing and videos, students learned more about electronic payment, sensible consumption as well as saving concepts which help achieve their goals for future.
Famine Talk
Life and Society and Geography jointly held a famine talk (飯前抉擇) organized by World Vision on 29 November 2023. S1 students learned more about the causes and impacts of famine in different countries. Moreover, they understood more about the rights of children as well as the work of this non-governmental organization in handling famine as a global issue.
Election Talk
An election talk (選舉知多少) was organized by the Registration and Electoral Office (選舉事務處) on 2 January 2024. S2 students learned more about the elections in Hong Kong and the election rights enjoyed by the Hong Kong permanent residents under the Basic Law. Students participated in a mock election and understood the proper attitudes towards an election.
S1 to S3 students attended an exhibition about the Hong Kong National Security Law and the Basic Law (《香港國安法》與《基本法》巡迴展覽) on 6-10 November 2023. Students learned more about the Basic Law, rights and responsibilities enjoyed by Hong Kong residents as well as the offences under the National Security Law. The exhibition raised students’ awareness of civic responsibility and the importance of law-abidingness.
