CLASS OVERVIEW
American Government is a class designed to acquaint students with the origins, concepts, organizations, and policies of the United States government and political system. Federal, state, and local government operations will be studied. To increase understanding, students will read and analyze relevant primary and secondary source documents, apply knowledge into real-world situations, and implement these ideas into the assigned material. Additionally, to keep students in tune with what is going on around them, current event activities will be implemented periodically.
All assignments posted throughout the 7 modules will be linked to google classroom. Because of this, you will only need to bookmark this website. Everything you will need will be made available through this website.

About Mr. Lipps
I was born in 1994 in Algona, Iowa. I grew up there and graduated from Algona High School in 2012. After high school, I attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. While there, I majored in history education and was a member of the basketball team. I graduated from BVU in the spring of 2016 and have taught at Storm Lake High School since. This is my 7th year at Storm Lake. In my free time I enjoy walking my dog, golfing, and biking around the lake.
