email: ellsworcyr@slcs.org
Welcome to my website! You will be required to use this site each day to find success in my courses. This year I will be teaching Government 12, Economics 12, U.S. History 11, Global 9 and Global 10. I will also be facilitating a group of students in Resource Room.
It is hard to believe that I have been teaching in the Saranac Lake Central School District since 1996 after graduating from Syracuse University. My first position was working as a Special Education Teacher. I transitioned to a History Teacher and I am fortunate to currently be teaching History as well as being a Special Education teacher at SLHS.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in History; A Master's Degree in Education; and a Master's Degree in Special Education all from Syracuse University. I also hold a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from Plattsburgh State University.
I am married to Vickie who graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology and I have two boys - Zach and Mitchell. Zach is a Junior and student-athlete at the University of Southern Maine and Mitchell is a Freshman and student-athlete at Brockport State University
I coach indoor and outdoor varsity track and field and this year I am also coaching Modified Football. My summer's are spent doing carpentry, care-taking properties and spending time with my family!
