Media Press Kit
Directions
This project involves creating a media press kit for a non-existent movie based on the novel you read. This media press kit will include a movie trailer AND a movie poster.
You may choose to use a program on a phone, tablet, or computer (such as iMovie or Canva) to complete this project. If you have knowledge of a program aside from the ones I mentioned, you are welcome to use it.
Movie Trailer
Your movie trailer must be around 60 seconds long.
Your movie trailer must include video and should not consist of still pictures ONLY.
Your movie trailer must show a good understanding of the characters' personalities and the story’s plot, BUT, do not give too much away. The purpose of a trailer is to persuade someone to go see your movie in a theater. You don't want to tell the whole story in your trailer.
Trailers must be your own original work. They must be creative and entertaining. That's what a movie trailer is supposed to do!
Movie Poster
Your poster must be on a piece of posterboard.
Your movie poster must include information about the movie, including a catchy tagline, which actors you might feature in your movie, interesting imagery and colorful and eye-catching illustrations or pictures, and information about who made the movie (see the examples below).
The purpose of a poster is to entice someone to go see your movie in a theater. You don't want to tell the whole story in your poster.
Posters must be your own original work. They must be creative and entertaining. That's what a movie poster is supposed to be!
