Current & former SLB program participants (aged 13 - 24) are invited to participate in the Roadtrip Nation Interview Challenge! To get started, just follow the steps below.
Complete the challenge and you'll receive a $25 gift card, and one SLB participant will be selected for a special $500 award by the Roadtrip Nation Team.
The deadline has been extended - it's not too late to participate! Complete the challenge by Saturday, August 31 to be in the running for the $500 special award.

At the end of the quiz, make sure to download/save your Navigator Profile - you'll need this for step 2 and 6!

We need a copy of your Navigator Profile! Email it to deanna@slbradio.org, or any of the Youth Media Center staff. Also make sure you save the file for yourself - you'll need to submit it at the end of the project directly to Roadtrip Nation.
Step 3: Conduct an interview
Step 3: Conduct an interview
Talk to someone in the working world about their job! Try to find someone who has a job you're interested in learning more about - it can be someone you know, or someone you seek out. The goal is just to learn more about what they do!
This can be a short interview, and you do not need to record it. Here are some questions you can ask:
What is your job?
What kind of skills do you use in order to do you job?
How did you get to be where you are today?
What do you like (or dislike) about your job?
Do you have any advice for someone like me?
[Optional] Take a selfie with your interviewee to submit to Roadtrip Nation!
Step 4: Record a video reflection

Record a 1 - 2 minute video reflection after your interview (note: this one's all about you -- your interviewee does not need to be a part of this video!).
Be sure to answer the following questions in your video (and don't forget to film vertically!).
Who did you interview (name, what they do for a living)?
What did they say is the most important skill they need for their job?
What was your favorite piece of advice they gave you?
What action will you take now, based on what you learned?
Save your video - you'll upload it directly to Roadtrip Nation with your profile in Step 6.

If you're under the age of 18, you'll need to have a parent/guardian sign for you. If you're over the age of 18, you can fill the form out yourself!
