THE ISSUE

Different breeds of animals are being abused almost everyday by people. They're being very poorly treated: getting kicked, beaten, starved, experimented on, shot, etc. The people doing this think it's normal and that there is no issue with them treating these animals like this. An estimated of 900 to 2,000 new cases every year of animal hoarding have been reported in the the U.S with 250,00 animals falling victim. Animals are used in experiments because in people's opinions it's safer to test products on the animals then humans in case of defects or allergic reactions.

THE SOLUTION

The abuse of animals has to stop. Numbers are high and have increased throughout the years. Animals need to be treated better because they also have feelings and can be impacted by what they've experienced; can suffer from PTSD and have trouble connecting with other humans who want to help. These animals, that have done nothing wrong, have the right to feel loved and safe. Report animal neglect or abuse to (415) 554-9400

-Include detailed description of the animal(s), the type of cruelty suspected, and the place on the property you observed the animal(s)
-Include pictures, IF REPORTING ONLINE

DON'T:
-Confront the suspected abuser. You're putting yourself in danger
-Take the law into your own hands
-Submit a "tip" on social media

STAY OFF SOCIAL MEDIA!!!
posting pictures, videos, addresses, and other info. about suspected abuse on social media can:
-Put you in danger.
If you're posting a picture to a public page, everyone-including the suspect- can see your information
-Compromise the case
If alerted, the suspect may destroy, move, or otherwise tamper with evidence
-Incite vigilantism
If your posts inspire well-meaning animal-lovers to take matters in their own hands (by removing the animal) the vigilantes could face theft or other charges, civil litigation, and the animal abuser may go free
