This is the website of our 2019 Fast for Nonviolence project, Exploitation of Women in the Workplace, which is about the intimidation and harassment women face in the workplace. We have a twitter account and are working on producing a documentary and graphics.

Quick Facts


  1. According to ABC News/The Washington Post:
    • Women have reported that 95% of men do not endure consequences.
    • 23% of victims have claimed that their harasser has had an effect on their work.
  2. According to Psychologist Louise Fitzgerald, 1 of every 2 women will be harassed at least once during their occupational or academic careers.
  3. These workers are more likely to be sexually harassed:
    • undocumented immigrants
    • those who are often given tips
    • those who work in isolated areas
    • women working in occupations with a male majority
    • those who are employed at workplaces that contain disparities of power among employees
