S1 pupils work in broadbanded ability sections.

Pupils follow a CfE 2nd Level course
or
a 3rd Level course in S1 and have the opportunity to extend their work in to 4th Level.

S2 pupils remain in broadbanded sections.

The decision of which course pupils follow is made on the basis of a pupil’s CfE grades achieved in S1.

Pupils follow a CfE 2nd/3rd Level course leading towards National 3/4
or
a 3rd/4th Level course leading towards
National 4/5.

S3 pupil will continue to be tracked and monitored as they complete their
CfE 3rd or 4th Level course.

This will ensure they are well placed for moving into their SQA National Award level courses.
