Google for Education Reference Program
Duncanrig Secondary School is proud to be recognised by Google as a Google for Education Reference Institution. This designation highlights our excellence and innovation in using Google tools—such as Google Workspace for Education Plus, Gemini, and Chromebooks—to create innovative and effective teaching and learning environments that unlock the potential of every student.

YRE Calendar Competition
A huge congratulations to four talented photographers at Duncanrig Secondary who were winners in the annual Young Reporters for the Environment Competition which is organised by the Keep Scotland Beautiful charity. Winners are as follows:
Michael won First Place in the Single Photo 11 to 14 category with his entry “Beinn Scrien Eirisgeidh”
Lily won Second Place in the Single Photo 11 to 14 category with her entry “Camusdarach Beach”
We also had two honourable mentions in the same category:
Sophie received Honourable Mention in the Single Photo 11 to 14 category with her entry “Winter’s Breakfast” and Catherine received Honourable Mention in the Single Photo 11 to 14 category with her entry "Culzean Castle Gardens"
All of our entries will have their photograph featured in the annual Keep Scotland Beautiful calendar. Pupils were delighted to see their photographs selected and the school is incredibly proud of their achievement!
Glasgow Museums Art Competition 2026
We celebrated success in The Glasgow Museums Art Competition 2026, with the following awards:
SILVER MEDAL: Amber
Highly Commended certificate : Lucy
Commended certificate: Lucy and Ava
We are delighted to continue to be a part of this historic event and to again see Duncanrig pupils recognised in this way.
