Our School has served the local community for many years and pre-dates much of current East Kilbride. We still have strong links with East Kilbride Old Parish Church in East Kilbride Village. These links have been since the school's inception. Below are some pictures of Auldhouse and Auldhouse Primary School in the past. We know that one of the pictures is from 1930.

Auldhouse Primary is unique in its make-up, with 75% of the pupils being placing requests from out with the catchment area, primarily from Greenhills and Lindsayfield. We are very proud of our new school building which was opened in 2014 and provides a modern, bright and open environment in which our young people can learn and achieve.
At Auldhouse Primary School we always strive for excellence and growth, and we endeavour to demonstrate an ethic of excellence in everything we do. Our school motto is
‘dream, believe, strive, achieve’
and our core values of
Kindness Honesty Respect Positivity Creativity Determination
permeate all aspects of the ethos and life of the school. We endeavour to foster positive relationships between all stakeholders. We are committed to ensuring that our curriculum is relevant and challenging, evolving to suit the needs of our young learners, with a clear focus on developing skills for learning, life and work. Although we are small, we like to ‘Think Big’ for our learners and families ensuring that their experience at Auldhouse is the best it can be.
Our school aims are rooted in the wellbeing indicators, and we are committed to ensuring that the health and wellbeing of our young people is central to our curriculum, ethos and daily life in the school. All staff are committed to taking forward the legacy of the school which, as the last rural school in East Kilbride, has a special place in the heart of our parents and community. We have an extremely active and engaged Parent Council who are very involved in the life of the school.
Through organised activities and fundraising they provide opportunities for families and members of the wider school and local community to get together. We are part of the Duncanrig learning community and work in very close collaboration with the other schools in our LC to improve the outcomes for our young learners. We also collaborate with other small schools and are part of a ‘small schools’ group’ on issues specific to the small school, multi-composite settings.
