Over the years, with DOB NYC Code Requirements, NY State Building Code, has become more stringent and critical for existing buildings of all ages - existing or new construction developments. Generally, larger consulting firms work with large clients established over time while smaller consulting firms work with small to mid-size  organizations. Firms structured like ours will work with existing residential buildings + grow existing connections created by our executives through previous experiences. With the recent unprecedented situations caused by the pandemic, the construction, consulting, engineering industry has stayed persistent as an essential service (Important to Public Health & Safety), with certain guidelines. The industry was also hit hard in 2009, but rebounded significantly in the year after. As NYC continues to grow, there is an increasing need for professionals, engineering + architecture in our industry.  

Because SBC provides a wide range of technical services, as opposed to a product, our advantages are only as strong as our consultants and project managers. Aside from ensuring our team is flexible, fast, can provide expert advice and can work on short deadlines, we will take the following steps to support consulting services:  

• Roll out, Acquire & Maintain certified project managers (CAPM / PMP)  

• A path forward – Certifications (SPRAT / AIA / LEED / OSHA / CDT / etc.)  

• Embody licensed & skilled professionals, engineers and architects (RA/PE). SkyTek's staff includes QEWI (Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector) & QPSI (Qualified Parking Structure Inspector) needed for filing with NYC DOB. 

• Ensure team members use a planning strategy and reporting process to stay in touch with clients and keep them updated on projects.  

• Provide thorough in-field and in-office training for all members.  

• Develop close relationships with all stakeholders – i.e. Property Managers, Boards, Contractors, Subcontractors, etc. to ensure quality services, materials, and maintain a clear and consistent brand. These parties can all provide support.  

• All our staff members have a degree or relative experience.
