What is a "Check for Understanding"?
The Checks for Understanding (CFU) are Google Form quizzes that help students and instructors see how much students understood the unit concepts, before they take the unit assessment. These CFU's are closely aligned with the core materials found on the unit assessments. The CFU's are set up to automatically grade, display results, and provide feedback/additional learning resources for the students. These features make this a powerful tool for feedback, reflection, and additional learning.

Use the navigation toolbar on this homepage to click to each respective subject's CFU section.
Click the CFU that you would like to use.
When the CFU is opened, you will be prompted to make a copy to your drive.
Open the copy on your drive and click on three dots on the top right corner.
Click on "Get prefilled link" and then copy the prefill URL address at the top.
Send the copied form link to your student(s).
Have student(s) complete the CFU form.
Results and feedback will be instantly given to students.
Teachers can review student results via the "Responses" tab on the Form.
