My name is Brooke Hammond and I am proud to be a Skyline Early Childhood Elementary T-Bird, or a Tiny T-Bird! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Wichita State University. I am also a Literacy Intervention Specialist, trained by The Phillips Fundamental Learning Center in Wichita, KS. I provide therapy for students who struggle with written word processing disorders like dyslexia. This will be my 11th year at Skyline Schools and my eighth year as lead teacher of the Skyline Preschool program.
I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of development - social, emotional, language, motor and academic - is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I believe that every child was created for a big purpose and I strive to create a community of learners to nurture growth in a positive, respectful, accepting and fun environment.
I have two awesome kids, ages 18 and 16. My daughter is attending Fort Hays State University and my son is a Junior at Skyline. I love music, reading, cross stitching and hiking in the mountains.
I look forward to partnering with your family as we watch your child grow! Every T-Bird, Every Day!

Our Preschool day has a mix of student-led, play-based, teacher directed lessons and activities. We infuse movement throughout the day as we take into consideration a child's attention span and tolerance to academic rigor. Our daily routine will not often change. However, it may be adjusted based on student needs, situations (fire drills, tornado drills, etc.), and school events.
*Preschool students will receive a snack with a milk each session.*
