Mrs. Sonia Bartosek

By: Benjamin Jay and Jason Luker, 4th grade

Mrs. Sonia Bartosek is the school counselor for Skykomish School District and has been working at Skykomish school for three years. Mrs. Bartosek loves working at our school and likes that all of the grades are in one building. Her favorite part of her job is seeing kids having fun and learning. Before she started working at Skykomish school, Mrs. Bartosek worked at Arby's fast food restaurant as a waitress. She also worked as a counselor in Mississippi. She doesn't like teaching online because it is hard to read body language. The hardest part of her job is being the counselor because she doesn't like to see kids who are physically or mentally hurt and it makes her sad.

Mrs. Bartosek has lived in Gold Bar for 3 years. She likes Gold Bar because it is a small town and she enjoys the view of the mountains. She is married to a man named Ken and she has two boys named Nathan and Brendan. Her favorite hobbies are word puzzles and picture puzzles. She also likes coloring because it is relaxing and makes her think. She has three dogs named: Willow, Taz , and Pluto. Her goal is to help children be successful with their friends, teachers, and school work. Her favorite food is eggplant parmesan and Indian food. Her favorite movie is Grease and Mama Mia.
