Due to school closures, park closures and a need to social distance , on a large scale, many of the commemorative activities planned to observe this historical event have been postponed or canceled!

So, having said that our trip has been canceled, there is always the possibility of a trip to Johnston Ridge Observatory when life has returned to a more normal setting --in the future. It is always fun to keep track of what the weather is doing there and might help plan any future outings!

This is a link button on the left for Washington Trails Association! I cannot say enough about this amazing organization and their super useful website! As restrictions are eased, hiking outdoors is a great way to enjoy family recreation and the WTA's website is a wealth of accurate and reliable information.
A few years ago I volunteered with a trail crew and it was a great experience. I have never seen such organized and welcoming folks! Our state trails would not exist from one season to the next without this organization!
