Why is English important?
Due to the use of the Internet and the development of technology English has become an international language in recent times. Many countries, among which also Sweden, include the study of English as a second language in their school syllabus. English is used in many areas such as science, aviation, computers, diplomacy and tourism. Knowing English is ultimately a necessity, a fundamental skill when meeting people, getting a job in a multinational company, enjoying movies and songs, using forums and discussions on many websites and even studying at the university where you have to be able to read literature in English.
I hope, whatever your motives, that you will enjoy studying English and find satisfaction in the digitalisation of knowledge which improves communication and interaction in a way that was not possible before.
