ABOUT THE COURSE

INTRODUCTION

The Mechanics & Materials Laboratory introduces students to the fundamental principles of engineering mechanics and the properties of construction materials through practical experiments. It enables learners to understand force systems, equilibrium, support reactions, and basic material behavior such as strength, elasticity, and durability. The laboratory integrates analytical concepts with hands-on testing of materials like cement, aggregates, steel, and concrete. Through experimental verification and observation, students develop problem-solving skills and practical knowledge essential for civil engineering applications. It also enhances the ability to interpret test results and apply theoretical concepts to real-world structural and material analysis.
