Other learning Experience

About Other Learning Experiences

Under the NSS Curriculum, OLE is one of the three components that complement the core and elective subjects (including Applied Learning courses) for the whole person development of students. Building on the foundation of the five Essential Learning Experiences in the Basic Education (Primary 1- Secondary 3), schools will offer students a range of OLE opportunities encouraging them to participate in the five areas of OLE, namely Moral and Civic Education, Community Service, Career-related Experiences, Aesthetic Development and Physical Development.

Our OLE Curriculum:

About Student Learning Profile (SLP)

SLP is a summary presentation of what a student achieves and participates, in terms of their whole person development during the senior secondary years. It aims to celebrate and recognize the whole person development for all students as well as for them to reflect on on-going experiences and set goals. Every student should be encouraged to build a SLP. School will assist students to build their profiles through out the senior secondary periods. .

The content of SLP may include brief information on:

  • academic performance in school

  • OLE;

  • performance / awards gained outside school; and

  • student's ‘self-account’ (e.g. highlight any impressive learning experiences or career goal setting)
