Art Class Sketchbooks

Students start the school year by creating sketchbooks. These sketchbooks have drawing paper In the front and binder paper in the back for taking notes. Students use these sketchbooks in class and they will be sent home with your student at the end of the school year.

Art Portfolios for TK through 3rd Grade

Students in Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade will create portfolios to hold their artwork and keep things organized. If you wish to see your students artwork earlier in the school year I will happily send artwork home.

A Little About Me- Meredith Downs

I teach art to grades TK through eighth grade. I started teaching at SKDA in the fall of 2020. I come to SKDA with a career background in art and design. As well as teaching, I also create mosaics, tapestry design, textile design and paint in gouache.

I live In City Heights with my husband, Tim and my son, Marco. I also have a daughter, Olivia, that lives and works in the San Francisco bay area.
