It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

by Joe Landry

This radio play was provided free of charge to our listeners thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. If you would like to make a freewill donation to the drama program, follow the link above to our donation page!

Born out of this unique set of circumstances, the Skaneateles Production Technology class in partnership with the Drama Club is proud to present to you their radio play version of It’s A Wonderful Life. In order to involve as many students as possible, Mr. Franco decided to create two casts for the show. Regardless of which cast they are a part of, everyone involved is so excited to be able to bring a different sort of dramatic production to the community, and cannot wait for you to enjoy the fruits of their hard work.

Complete with voice acting, sound effects, and vintage advertisements, this show is sure to make you feel as though you are listening to a true 1940's radio broadcast. Cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate around a warm fire, and listen as Skaneateles students spin this classic holiday tale, free of charge!

About Production Tech...

Production Technology is a new class at Skaneateles High School, started this year by Mr. Franco. It is dedicated to teaching students the behind-the-scenes aspects of live performances, theater, and film such as camerawork, lighting, audio engineering, and foley. Franco decided to build the production of a radio play into the curriculum of the class for this year, as it would be able to serve both as a class project and as an opportunity to involve Drama Club students who are missing their regular creative outlet this fall.
