Mr. Fielding teaches AP Literature and Composition, AP U.S. Government, English 9, English 10, United States History, and Speech and Debate. He has been an AP Literature and Composition Reader for over 10 years. He has won numerous awards related to his teaching, coaching, and work in promoting literature and the creative arts including being made an Honorary Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear (2023), being awarded to the Don Hather Wall of Fame (2023), being named Alaska Speech and Debate Coach of the Year (2021), Teacher of the Year Finalist (2018), and BP Teacher of Excellence (2014). He has coached Speech and Debate (DDF), Cross Country Running, Track and Field, and Basketball at Skagway School. His teams have won numerous awards. He has also traveled with students overseas on various educational trips to places that include Russia, the Marshall Islands, and Turkey.
