WELCOME TO PRE-SCHOOL 4B

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Building Preschool Readiness Through Playful  Experience

School readiness is a major focus in the explorers class. Your child learns by doing. From outdoor play to arts and crafts, everything they do has a positive effect.

Your 4-Year-Old Is Ready For A Language Experience

The Teacher interacts with the children, engaging them in conversation, singing songs, reciting nursery rhymes, and reading books. Adding a touch of Spanish gives your child’s language and literacy skills a chance to shine.

Your child will learn and grow in a faith-based environment

Our preschool program is rooted in the rich tradition of the Catholic faith by incorporating the love of God into our daily activities. Your child will learn from teachers and mentors who are loving, nurturing and faith-centered.

St. Joseph School, York, is an educational community, with Jesus as our cornerstone.  We educate the whole child through academic excellence and faith preparation through the Roman Catholic tradition to enable our students to serve as disciples of Christ in our global world.

 Classroom Saint 🌹💐🌹

Feast Day  October 1st

St Therese of the Child Jesus is also known as

“The Little Flower” and as St Therese “of the Roses.”

From a very young age, Therese wished to become a Saint.

At age of 15, she entered the Carmelite Monastery after obtaining the permission from Pope Leo XIII.  Even though she struggled  in finding her true vocation, she lived a holy life by doing all things with love and childlike trust in God. In time she realized that her vocation, to serve God, is to love.

Therese saw herself as a “little flower of Jesus.” She compared herself to a simple wildflower that grows unnoticed, but still growing and giving glory to God in its simplicity. She declared that after her death she will let fall “a shower of roses” from heaven, so that even after her death she wanted to continue her mission to make God loved.

She is Patroness of all Missionaries and the Missions, Patroness of France and Doctor of the Church.

"To those who feel powerless, who, like St. Thérèse could not perform great works or deeds, it serves as a reminder that little things - a flower, a smile, a sacrifice - are what keeps the Kingdom of God growing." (Koch Foundation)
