Classroom Saint

St. Teresa of Avila was a Spanish Carmelite nun who lived in the 1500s.

She established many convents throughout Spain.

Jesus once said to her in a vision:  "I would create the universe again just to hear you say that you love me."  

St. Teresa had a tremendous love of the Eucharist.

She is the patron saint of those who suffer from headaches and those who are ill.  She is known as the "doctor of the Church."
