Dear Parents,
This note is to give you an idea of the skills that we would be working on in fourth grade and to give you an idea of things that we suggest you work on during your child’s time away from school to keep skills fresh.
Tips for getting in the Google Classroom are at the bottom of this page.
Please know that we will be answering emails in a timely manner and if you have any questions for us, feel free to ask.
In addition, we suggest the following:
1. Please have your child read every single day. Discuss the story, including characters, setting, and main idea.
2. Please have your child write every single day. They can keep a journal of what they did over the time spent away.
3. Remember to pray each day and focus on becoming a better version of themselves.
Below is a list of other fun things to try if you finish your schoolwork.
Go outside and explore the weather.
Create a science experiment.
Bake a special treat.
Help someone you love.
Help a neighbor.
Play a card game.
Play a board game.
If there is a need for at home learning, activity choices will be posted on Google Classroom.
When signing into Google Classroom, be sure all other Google accounts are signed out.
Sign into your child's school account. Be sure to type their username with [first initial last name]@students.sjy.org at the end. Google Classroom will not work if they have @gmail.com. For example: jslike@students.sjy.org.
