My Catholic faith and family are my most precious gifts from God.  The Holy Eucharist is my strength to fulfill my vocation as a wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher. The joys of my life are my loving husband, my four beloved children, my special son-in-law, daughter-in-law, future daughter-in-law, and my adorable seven grandchildren.

I received my Bachelor's Degree and Reading Specialist Certification from Millersville University.  Upon graduating from Millersville University, I taught First Grade for four years in Lancaster City School District, PA,  and a Pre-First Grade for two years in Hempfield School District in Lancaster, PA.

This is my 22nd year of teaching at my alma mater elementary school, St. Joseph, York.  I began teaching at St. Joseph as the Art teacher. Following one year as the Art teacher, I implemented our Instructional Support Program, and continued in that position for four years.  Teaching Second Grade and the Sacramental Program for the past 17 years has brought immeasurable grace and joy into my life.  The relationships I build with each student and family are a gift I will always cherish.  I am humbled to be God's instrument as I teach His little ones.

I Believe:

Every child is gifted in some form and loved for who they are, since they were created in the image of God.

Children learn through many different modalities.  It is most important to teach through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning modalities.

Developing a love for learning in all subject areas, strengthens our awe and love of God's creation.

Using the "Whole Brain Teaching Method" with continual repetition, engages children in learning.

Fostering a "Growth Mindset" in the classroom will produce problem solvers and great success.
