Ms. Jeanine Catoggio

Jeanine Catoggio has been teaching for the last 20 years. As a child, she attended St. Francis of Assisi School in Astoria. From there, she attended St. Vincent Ferrer High School in New York City. Jeanine graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Elementary Education and Sociology. After graduating, she continued her studies receiving a Masters of Science in Elementary Education as well as NYS Permanent Certification for grades N-6. Prior to teaching at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy, Jeanine taught 3rd grade for ten years at St. Raphael School in Long Island City. During her past ten years here at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy, she has taught Pre-k3/4, Grade 1, Grade 3, and presently 3K.
Jeanine currently lives in Sheepshead Bay with her husband and son, who is also a 3rd grade student at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy. In her spare time she likes to read, enjoy the outdoors, travel and spend time with her family!
Ms. Joan DeSanto

Ms. Joan graduated from the College of Staten Island with an Associates Degree in Child Care. After working in various Child Care Facilities for over 30 years, Ms. Joan was fortunate enough to become part of the SJWCA family in 2012. She began as a substitute teacher and is now a full-time assistant in our 3K classrooms.
Ms. Joan is a Brooklyn native who grew up in Park Slope and now resides in Bay Ridge. She loves to travel, explore museums, and spend time with family & friends. Ms. Joan expresses that her greatest joy is seeing her students face new challenges and then build their confidence while continuing to grow.
