Sarah Paiva

There are no typical days as a middle school counselor, and never a dull moment! I work with students individually, in-group settings, and in the classroom. I collaborate with parents, other counselors, teachers and the administration to help support students achieve their academic best.

“Find what you love to do in life and find a way to get paid for it”! I say this to students when we discuss college and career readiness. And I can say with certainty that this is exactly what I did. I love to talk (a lot) and work with students! I graduated from Chico State University and earned a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. I then went to San Jose State University where I received my Masters Degree in Counseling Education. I have worked at the elementary and high school level but my favorite by far is middle school! This is my 11th year at Willow Glen Middle and every year brings something new and exciting.

I love to read, listen to music, watch TV, spend time with family and friends, and laugh! My two sons, husband and dog keep me busy and are the loves of my life.
