This course is designed for students in grades 9-12 who are interested in vocal music and performance activities. Instruction in sight-reading, tone production, listening skills, body movement, and performance skills is part of the course. No prior experience or audition is required.

This course builds on Choir 1-2 and has been designed for the advanced music students in grades 9-12 who are interested in both theory and vocal music performance. Students are involved in choral part-singing, solo, and ensemble singing, and the interpretation of musical symbols. Prior experience is preferred. Audition or successful completion of Concert Choir is required.

The Chamber Chorale is a select, auditioned, vocal ensemble for students in grades 9-12 specializing in music from the Renaissance through 20th century. The course is designed for the advanced choral student who is interested in performing in a small ensemble and requires the highest level of commitment, responsibility, and musicianship. Students are expected to demonstrate a high level of maturity both in rehearsal and in performance. Prior experience and an audition is required.

This advanced choral group, selected through audition, is a select vocal ensemble for students in grades 9-12 who will be studying all jazz styles from blues to fusion. Students study microphone technique, jazz styling and interpretation, vocal improvisation (scat), chart reading and interpretation, solo and ensemble vocal techniques, advanced theory and various other aspects of jazz. Solo as well as ensemble literature will be studied, discussed, and performed. Prior experience and an audition is required.
