CRN (Course Reference Number) - the five-digit number associated with each section
Corequisite - A section you must simultaneously register for with another course (ex: BIO 101 Lecture must be taken with BIO 101L Lab). Both courses must be in your summary box before hitting "submit".
Prerequisite - A course that must be completed before registering for another course.
Field of Study - Registration for a course with this restriction is restricted to students in a particular major, minor, or concentration.
Attribute - Registration for a course with this restriction is restricted to students with a particular attribute (ex: Honors).
Closed/Full - When a class had reached capacity and there are no more seats.
Section Code - Column 4 on the Course Search display, Section code types available to first-year students are in bold.
D - Sections open to Philadelphia Undergraduate students
L/LO - Sections only open to Lancaster students
OL - Online sections - only available to upper-class students
SL - Service Learning - courses with a required service component
Campus Code - Column 10 on the Course Search display
Hawk Hill - In-person courses on the main campus.
University City - In person courses on the University City campus in West Philadelphia
Lancaster - Courses offered to students located at our Lancaster location
On-Line - On-line courses, typically not available to first-year students unless specifically noted.
Add/Drop - The period of time where you are able to adjust your course schedule by adding or dropping courses without penalty or academic repercussions.
Conditional Add/Drop - This feature allows you to drop a course from your schedule on the condition that you are able to add a new course to your schedule without error.
Allows you to retain your spot in the first course if you are unable to add the second course for some reason.
Recommended to use conditional add/drop when making a change one course at a time.
