WHISK's overall mission is to inspire health and wellness through student-led, hands-on nutrition education and cooking.
WHISK will become a vetted resource for hands-on nutrition programming for the San Jose State University community. This program encourages people to take "WHISKS" in the kitchen and gives members of the community the tools needed to promote healthy food behaviors and establish healthy relationships with food. WHISK recruits and trains SJSU nutrition students to lead our programming providing additional practical application opportunities to complement required academic coursework.
WHISK is proudly supported by and affiliated with the NuFS Club
The NuFS Club exists to foster a close relationship among the students and faculty, to encourage leadership, and to supplement the students' academic experience with career choice information from working professionals, providing opportunities to practice work-related skills, and to sponsor scholarships and NuFS and Pkg Department convocation ceremony.
